1. Purpose of the App

YourSight is designed to assist individuals with visual impairments through image capture, audio processing, and object recognition features. It uses artificial intelligence to provide audio-based feedback and assistance.

2. No Liability for Injuries or Damages

By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that:

• YourSight is intended solely as an assistive tool and is not a substitute for professional guidance, certified medical devices, or personal assistance.
• You are solely responsible for how you use the App.
• We disclaim all liability for any harm, loss, or damage arising from your use of the App, except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

3. Age Requirement

You must be 18 years of age or older to use the App. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

4. Data Collection and Storage

To provide its core functionality, the App may collect and store:

• Facial data (used for recognition)
• Names or identifiers linked to those faces

This information is:

• Transmitted via encrypted channels
• Stored securely on a private MongoDB server
• Retained indefinitely unless you request deletion by contacting us

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Your data remains private and is used solely to improve and operate the App.

5. Data Deletion Requests

You may request that your stored data be permanently deleted at any time. To do so, contact us at the email address provided in Section 9.

6. No User Accounts Required

YourSight does not require you to create a user account. You can access and use the App anonymously.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The App will always function without interruptions or errors
• The information provided is completely accurate or up to date
• The App will meet all user expectations or requirements

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time and for any reason, including suspected misuse or violation of these Terms.

1. Data Controller

YourSight is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

2. Information We Collect

We collect and process the following personal data:

• Facial Data: Facial images to assist the facial recognition service. These are collected when the use gives the command for adding a face to the facial recognition system.
• Names: Names associated with recognized faces for the facial recognition system.
• DeviceID: Each device has a UniqueID, used to connect each users stored facial data and names to their account. This is also deleted upon request and not shared with any third part.

This data is NOT shared with any 3rd parties, and is stored on secure and encrypted servers.

We do not collect any other data from you.

2.5 . How we use this information

What we do with the stored facial image and name:

• Facial Data: When the User runs the "Add face" command, the image of the added face, which should only be taken with consent, will be encrypted and stored in a secure server. This is not shared with anyone, and held until the user requests for its deletion. Even if the user stops using the app, this information is NEVER shared to a third party.
• Names or Identifiers: Names associated with recognized faces are also encrypted and stored in secure servers with the facial data. These are also never shared or accessed by any 3rd party, and will be deleted alongside the facial images if asked.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal data to:

• Provide assistive features for visually impaired users.
• Enhance user experience through personalized recognition.

We do not use your data for marketing purposes or share it with third parties.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Our processing of your personal data is based on:

• Consent: You provide explicit consent for us to process your data for the purposes outlined above.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is transmitted via encrypted channels and stored securely on a private MongoDB server. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
